How to long practice a drumming exercises.


Alot of has been said how long to practice an exercises but is 5 minutes enough. I have realized while practicing double bass that 10 minutes is actually the way to go. My personal opinion. Beginning the first 5 minutes they body get used to the motion and after 5 minutes the body takes over. This can also build endurance, and speed.

One exercise that I use to practice is one of Joe Morello exercises that is in the Master Studies book. ex22 here is the link to the video. The video is called The Killer. This has help my singles, doubles and paradiddles. I recommend this to any one who want to improve your stick control and use it for your feet as well.
